This stoner movie follows the two potheads, Cheech and Chong, on their mission to smuggle weed across the border.

At first, they appear confident in their abilities but are soon challenged with various obstacles that jeopardize their mission. From an overzealous customs officer who takes a sudden interest in the drugs they’re carrying, to escaping from Mexican police after being caught driving an illegal vehicle, nothing ever goes as planned for these two. 

Their luck turns around when they stumble upon a small town hosting Battle of the Bands, this is where both musicians perform some of their own songs.

Cheech and Chong manage to win enough cash for them to make it back home safely. After arriving home with a few new stories to tell, Cheech and Chong experience some of the consequences of their escapades before ultimately realizing that smoking weed can be even more fun if it doesn’t involve trying to evade authorities. 

Up In Smoke is a stoner comedy full of laughs and mishaps—a great way to pass time and get a few laughs out!

5. Half Baked: 

At its core, Half Baked is about friendship, loyalty, and doing what it takes to help out a friend in need. 

The three main characters – Thurgood (Dave Chappelle), Brian (Jim Breuer), and Scarface (Guillermo Diaz) – are hilarious as they hit the streets selling weed out of their ice cream truck with tons of problems along the way.

From being followed by crazed drug dealers to getting arrested, these three don’t let anything stand in their way of helping their friend Kenny out of jail.

And despite being high for most of the movie – they still seem to be able to get out of any situation unharmed. 

In addition to this quality comedy fix-it plotline, Half Baked also imparts valuable lessons on life. Realizations such as you can always rely on your friends when times get tough and that discussing your problems openly with them is an even better solution than turning to drugs.
